Got an early call from Kirk this morning. He said today's breakfast and lunch were delicious. He called them the best meals they've had so far. I'm a bit jealous. Not that I need the calories. I wonder if they've discovered the joy of Nutella on a croissant yet...
He said they'd be off to Omaha Beach shortly.

YEAH for the fabulous food. I am hoping that being in France will make them excited about the next part of their journey. It is a new week and new places to see. Hopefully they won't be as home sick. Does anyone know how the weather is in France. Let's hope for SUNSHINE!

Looks Mostly sunny going to partly cloudy later in the week. No rain in the forcast for Paris.
Looks like later in the week Brussels and Amsterdam will experience light rain.
Now I wish I hadn't given Kirk so many pairs of shorts to pack. Oh well...
Clare, atleast he can change a lot if he gets wet. My son has worn shorts during the winter with no coat, of course. Unless he is cold, I am sure he is fine. :0)
Maybe the weathermen in Brussels and Amsterdam are like our weathermen. Unpredicatable and often get it wrong. :0) Sorry if anyone is a weatherman or woman.

True. That is, if any of his clothes are still dry. Oh, in some ways I am glad I'm not there, because I'd be fussing over the things that really aren't important, like clean dry socks. :o)
I too would be fussing over clean socks and underwear!! It's good to hear that most boys are the same about this stuff.
Clean socks and underwear? Good thing we didn't get married -- I once wore the same pair of underwear for TWO YEARS!

Sammie told me on Friday that she has only done her laundry once so far. So I said your clothes must be getting smelly. She said yes, partly joking. She said that when they get to a location where they can do wash, she will get her clothes cleaned. Let's hope that is soon. :0) Kathy #5
