Frequency of Calls

This is our daughters second P2P trip - the first trip she spent two weeks in Hawaii and had a wonderful experience that she still talks about today. We only spoke to her twice during the Hawaii trip, but we always knew that "no news , was good news". But being our first P2P experience, we were a little freaked out. After she came home, we quizzed her on why she never called and she said she was "busy", "having fun", or "the phone line was long", or "never had an important reason to call".

So for this trip, we rented a Global phone that can be used whenever she has cell coverage, and so far - we have had only two calls! But learning from the Hawaii trip, we know she will call when she wants to share or simply just check-in. Like all of you, we miss her like crazy, but we know that she or a delegate leader would immediately call if there was an important issue. If you're not getting a lot of calls from your children during this trip -Don't worry, most likely they are having a great time exploring Europe!

Thanks for that reminder. When Eric traveled last we only heard from him once in two weeks. I don't expect to hear from him much this trip either but I have to say that reading all the entries in the blog makes me miss talking to him. I know he is having a blast and that is all that matters. We'll have plenty of time to talk when they get back.

My daughter also went on a P2P trip to Hawaii a couple of years ago for two weeks and I too only heard from her once or twice. This time, I have yet to hear from her and I am not a bit worried. She would call if there is a problem or she needed me. She is a very independent girl and I am sure she is having the time of her life.
